These are FUN!
At the least, I expected simple white pompoms. The addition of color LEDs was a bonus for me. The light feature is very basic. Very. Each pompom has two simple LEDs on wires and it's almost only effective when shaking the pompoms madly in a dark setting. The battery housing is in the pompom handle and is also quite simple. In fact, one of the pompoms I ordered wouldn't turn on, and CoolGlow refunded the price of that one almost immediately, which I used to buy a replacement and that one worked fine. I have taken the pompoms to events worthy of some cheering, to the delight of everyone there. The outlay of about $12 to order two individual pompoms has given back priceless moments. These are great fun both day and night. Don't be too rough with these, since the electrical components are so simple - best used by fun loving grown-ups rather than kids.
